How to find us

Great Walstead School is two miles east of Haywards Heath – midway between Gatwick Airport and Brighton and approximately three miles from Haywards Heath mainline station. By car from west, east or south take the A272 as far as Bedales Corner (between Scaynes Hill and Haywards Heath) and take the B2111 in the direction Lindfield. In about half a mile turn right into East Mascalls Lane and you will find the school on your right a short way down this road.

If you are approaching from the north through Lindfield, take the left turn immediately before the pond (B2111) and follow signs to the school when you enter the hamlet of Walstead – about one mile out of Lindfield.

Great Walstead School is situated just a mile away from the beautiful Sussex village of Lindfield. Steeped in history and architectural heritage, the ancient High Street is lined with lime trees and timber–framed houses. A natural spring-fed pond with fish, ducks and swans is situated at the end of the High Street, opposite the village Common which hosts many fairs, festivals, bonfire celebrations and sporting activities. The main line station of Haywards Heath is just 2 miles away with direct lines to London Victoria and London Bridge.
